The Time Traveler's Wife

The debut book of Audrey Niffenegger, this book is a metaphor for the author's failed relationships. It's a love story about a man who has a disorder that causes him to travel through time, unpredictably. His wife is an artist. The book describes their experiences in this difficult and thrilling relationship.

Rebecca

A little Gothic Romance anyone? Daphne du Maurier wrote a cult classic with Rebecca. Set in Monte Carlo, we never find out the narrator's name, but she is forever in the shadows of the perfect Rebecca

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo

Only written in 2005, some might wonder how it made to my favorites of all time. That's how good this book is. The suspense kept me at the edge of my chair as I read. Normally people only have that feeling when watching a movie. I literally read it at the edge of chair ( or bed). The late Swedish author, Stieg Larsson, created a complex mystery that he said was inspired by a real life experience.

Fahrenheit 451

In 1953, Ray Bradbury wrote the book lovers nightmare. The story is based in the future and books have been OUTLAWED. All books are ordered to be burned. The title is the temperature that begins to burn paper.

The Power of Now

Eckhart Tolle changed my entire life by righting this book. The entire book focuses on the title. It's not a very long book but it so insightful and inspiring I stud

Piercing

The author's, Ryu Murakami, imagination terrifies me. This book is about a protagonist who's overwhelmed by the urge to pierce his newborn's flesh. Instead he kidnaps a prostitute and takes his issues out on her.

Ender's Game

American author, Orson Scott Card imagined a military science fiction in 1985. This story enthralled me so much I finished it in the day. It originated as a short story in 1977 and includes aliens called "Buggers" and a threat of a third invasion.

The DaVinci Code 

This novel is technically a mystery-detective story. But, it includes so many religious references that it pops up when you google Best Religious Books of all Time. This book was another book that I fell asleep reading several nights. Tom Hanks starred in the motion picture version.

IT 

I can only re-read this classic by Stephen King when I am feeling especially brave. It gave me nightmares as a child, but I still loooovvee. Stephen King is the master of Horror tales but this story, about fear itself, is the most terrifying I've read. There's
